FELLOWSHIP
Socializing with your fellow Auxiliarists is a cornerstone benefit of
Auxiliary membership, whether during official events or on social
occasions. Flotilla 21 is often a leader in participation in
Division training and social events.

At the 2006 Poker Fun Run, six of us
jumped on Clarence's 'boat with no name' and cruised the Delta in search
of adventure and winning hands. Short on adventure (sometimes a
good thing on the water), 'our' boat returned two winning hands, Mike Seereiter for third highest and Robert Firehock for third lowest, thus
bracketing the field. Shown at left, Clarence, Lucy and Mike
Seereiter, and Abigail Wagg critique George Prows' cleating style at one
of the waypoints. The verdict: the Facility was there when we
came back.

After the Fun Run it was time for serious
mission debriefing, fueled in part by Flotilla hors d'ouevres and
Johnnie Johnson's homemade cookies. Angelo Perata spearheaded
Division 10's hosting of a fabulous BBQ dinner, and the speeches were
short. Please join us in 2007, when the Fun Run will return to
Brannan Island. Photo by

Michael
Cassidy, W6UAB, pictured at left in his sleek Land Based Mobile
Facility, and fellow member and Ham Robert Firehock, KE6IUE,
pitched in on short notice to participate in a Department of Homeland
Security communications interoperability exercise in Oakland. The
radios worked and the lunch was quite tasty.
