     A safe boater knows what to expect from the weather before leaving the dock, and keeps a 'weather eye' out for adverse changes.

     Excellent advanced weather reports can be found at the NOAA Forecast site for the San Francisco Bay Area.  If you join the Auxiliary, you can take an Auxiliary Weather specialty course and either put more formal understanding behind your instincts for our Bay Area weather or learn how it is that we enjoy such a fantastic boating environment.
